Bill D. Hamilton, 70, of Lyons, Indiana, passed away, on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at home with loved ones by his side. He was born on June 24, 1955, in Linton, to Willard J. and Geneva M. ‘Jean’ (Deckard) Hamilton. Bill married his loving wife, Sheri R. (Hickox) on September 29, 2001.

Bill was baptized at United Methodist Church and had attended Shiloh Wesley Chapel UMC in Spencer. Bill was a member of Linton Masonic Lodge #560 F & AM. Early in life while in college he was a baseball pitcher at Northeast College. Bill owned and was the pharmacist at Hamilton Pharmacy in Lyons, later he joined his father with Hamilton Equipment in Linton. He was a hardworking gentle soul, a loving father and husband. He was extremely proud of his boys and loved his grandchildren. Hunting quail was his passion. 

Family left to cherish the memory of Bill includes his wife, Sheri, sons, Andrew (Lydia) Hamilton of Lyons, Jimmy (Tabitha) Carpenter of Linton; grandchildren, Willow, Waylon and Scottie; he is also survived by a brother-in-law Daniel (Shephanie) Hickox, sister-in-law, Sara (Eamon) Donovan, nieces and nephews, Camron Allen, Brookelyn Allen, Colston and Charlotte. 

Bill was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services to honor the life of Bill will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Dr. Diane Wells officiating. Bill will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton, next to his parents.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home and from 10:00 AM until the hour of service on Thursday. A Masonic Memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday evening.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Linton-Stockton High School Athletics Dept. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
