Charles R. Cox

Charles R. ‘Charlie’ Cox, 82, of Linton, Indiana, passed from this life, on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Autumn Trace in Linton. He was born on February 9, 1942, in Linton to Frank and Ruth D. (Barnard) Cox. Charlie married the love of his life, Judith D. (Dudley) Cox on January 10, 1965.

Charlie was a US Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Linton, ARC of Indiana, K of C, American Legion Post #22, GCARC of Lyons and was a life member of Worthington VFW Post #7117. Charlie was a retired Family and Student Advisor for the Linton Stockton School Corporation. He enjoyed Linton Miner Football, Cross Country and Track. He loved Notre Dame Football, GO IRISH!

Family left to cherish the memory of Charlie include, his wife, Judy Cox; son, R. Bryan (Krista) Cox of Linton; grandchildren, Benjamin, Sarah and Bradyn; several nieces and nephews.

Charlie was preceded in death by, his parents; one son, Michael A. Cox; sister, Sharon R. Titus; brothers, Frankie Cox and John H. Cox.

Funeral services to honor his life will be held, Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Meng Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Poindexter Chapel, 89 C St. NW, Linton, Indiana. Visitation will be 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Charlie will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church in Linton. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
