David E. Jones

David E. Jones, 55, of Sandborn, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023. He was born on October 16, 1967 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Richard Earl and Carol Sue (Gaalema) Jones. David was married to Shellie (Clark) Jones.

David was a member of the Sandborn First Christian Church. He was a Machine Assemblyman and Fork Truck Driver for Perdue Farms. He previously spent 20 years as an over the road truck driver. David enjoyed fishing and camping, dirt track racing and woodworking.

Family left to cherish the memories of David include: his wife of 35 years, Shellie Jones; daughter, Michelle Jones of Cloverdale; son, David (Calista) Jones, Jr. of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Gracie and Arthur; his father, Richard (Carol Anne) Jones of Stilesville, IN; sister, Cindy (Bill) Stinson of Greencastle and brother, Richard (Sandy) Jones of Monrovia, IN.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Sue Jones.

Funeral services to honor the life of David will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 10, 2023 at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Bryan Sanders officiating. David will be laid to rest in Sandborn Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 12:00 Noon until the time of service on 2:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Knox County Humane Society in Vincennes. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
