Dora D. Manuel, 73, of Sullivan, Indiana, passed away with family by her side, on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. She was born on November 10, 1951 in Sullivan to Robert Omar and Nancy J. (Bratcher) Ruff. Dora married her loving husband, James E. Manuel on September 30, 1972.

Dora worked in housekeeping at Miller’s Merry Manor, retiring with several years of service. She enjoyed the outdoors, walking, hunting mushrooms, camping and fishing. Dora especially loved time spent with her grandkids.

Family left to cherish the memories of Dora include: her husband, Jim Manuel; two sons, James A. (Pamela) Manuel of Sullivan and Timothy R. (Tabatha) Manuel of Dugger; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Timothy Ruff and Lynzie Souders; two sisters, Leslie Stephens and Anna Souders.

Dora was preceded in death by: her parents; brother, Alan Ruff; sisters, Rosemary Danko, Christine Marshall and Loretta Linn.

Funeral services to honor the life of Dora will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Buford Smith officiating. Dora will be laid to rest in Bethany Cemetery in Dugger.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
