Doris L. Bledsoe, 96, of Freelandville, formerly of Sandborn, Indiana, went to Heaven, with family by her side, at Freelandville Community Home on Monday, November 17, 2025. She was born on March 14, 1929, in Martin, Tennessee to Monty and Mary (Osborn) Mann. Doris married the love of her life, Beryl Bledsoe II, on July 22, 1953.

Doris attended Sandborn Christian Church. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and did maintenance work for many years.

Family left to cherish the memory of Doris includes: one son, Byron Bledsoe of Detroit, MI; six daughters, Marla Caradea of Freelandville, Brenda Lash and Rebecca (Kevin) Cook of Sandborn, IN, Doris (Garry) Snover of Linden, TN, Janet (Bryan) Bledsoe of Warren, MI and Luann (Jef) Speer of Spencer, IN: seventeen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Beryl Bledsoe II; sons, Wesley Bledsoe and David Clark; brother, James Mann and sister, Agnes Ward.

Funeral services to honor the life of Doris will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 24, 2025, at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with her son, Byron Bledsoe officiating. Doris will be laid to rest in Antioch Cemetery in Dugger.

Family and friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
