Doris I. (Frederick) Wall

Doris I. Wall, 91, of Linton, Indiana, went peacefully to Heaven, on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Glenburn Home in Linton. She was born on April 1, 1928 in Linton to Nelson and Mary (Gabbard) Frederick. Doris became the wife of Thomas ‘Tom’ Wall, Jr. on October 18, 1946.

Doris was a member of the Linton First Baptist Church and the Linton-Stockton High School Class of 1946. She was a homemaker and took pride in caring for her home and family. Doris was the Stockton Township Trustee for several years until she retired in 2014. She was an avid gardener and loved entertaining her many friends.

Family left to cherish the memory of Doris include: two sons, Jack R. (Marsha) Wall and Kent F. ‘Opie’ Wall and Renee’, both of Linton; one daughter, Marsha Ann Barriero of Bloomington; grandchildren, Tommy Wall, Rebecca Nagy, Levi Wall, Mary Masters and Kaleb Wall and ten great-grandchildren.

Doris was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Tom Wall, Jr.; two granddaughters, Sarah Jane Wall and Jennifer Ann Barriero; one great-granddaughter, Grace Ann Nagy and son-in-law, Manuel Barriero.

Funeral services to honor the life of Doris will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 13, 2020 at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Rev. David Tyra officiating. Doris will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Family and friends may call from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Linton Community Food Pantry in memory of Doris. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
