Evelyn ‘Ruth’ Jackson, 82, of Jasonville, Indiana, went to Heaven, with her loving family by her side, on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Jasonville. She was born on March 13, 1941 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Samuel and Mae (Davis) Johnson.

Ruth was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Linton. She worked as a secretary for many years before retiring. Ruth loved to crochet and watch TV.

Family left to cherish the memory of Ruth include: four daughters, Jami (John) Eyth of Orlando, FL, Joy (Travis) Foster of Springville, IN; Jody Godfrey of Vincennes, IN and Jennifer (Johrone) Gooch of Spokane, WA; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sandra Brown, Jerrie Burdette and Linda Poynter; two brothers, Tommy Johnson and Sammy Johnson.

Ruth was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Larry Jackson; brothers, Carl and Richard Johnson.

There will be no viewing or services at this time. Ruth will be laid to rest in Sandborn Cemetery at a later date.
