Harry Ray Colbert Obituary

Harry Ray Colbert, 68, of Linton, Indiana, passed away unexpectantly on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, in Linton. He was born on May 19, 1955, in Linton to William and Mary (Bales) Colbert. Harry married his late wife Patricia J. Colbert on September 9, 1988.


Harry worked as a carpenter for many years until his retirement in 2016. He was a member the American Legion Post #22 and the Linton Moose Lodge #1434. In his spare time, he loved to fish and be outdoors. He also loved to play his pirates game.


Family left to cherish the memory of Harry include his daughters, LeAnn (Matt) Krus, Amanda (Scott) Lower, and Jessica (Jason) Hays all of Linton; son, Ricky (Michelle) Brown of Jasonville; grandchildren, Devon Brown, Dylan Brown, Brianna (Dylan) Morris, Maggie Lower, Sophie Lower, Hallie Benefiel, and Cade Benefiel; and special friend Carol Nagy.


Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia J. Colbert, his parents, son, Adam Brown, sister Dixie Duke and brother William Mack "Batman" Colbert.


Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 8, 2024, at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Pastor Danny Hillenburg officiating. Harry will be laid to rest in Colbert Cemetery in Washington, Indiana.


Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, January 7, 2024, and from 10 AM Monday until the hour of service at the funeral home.
