Jeffery L Kirk

Jeffery L. Kirk, 63, of Jasonville, Indiana, passed away, on January 21, 2020 at his residence of natural causes. He was born on January 12, 1957 in Vincennes, Indiana to Gilbert and Adah (Brooks) Kirk.  Jeffery married Jean Ann (Jones) on October 16, 1982.

Jeffery graduated from Switz City Central High School, class of 1975.

Jeffery was a self-employed carpenter and worked for Citizens Gas and Coke Utility as a custodian for over 40 years. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and auto restoration.  He took great pride in rebuilding their home after a total fire loss.

Family left to cherish the memory of Jeffery include: his loving wife, Jean Ann Kirk; his mother, Adah Brown of Linton; two daughters, Sarah (Jarrod) Sands of Cincinnati, Ohio and Valory Kirk of Jasonville; two grandchildren, Isabella and Kallie.

He is also survived by: three brothers, Gordon (Judy) Kirk, Bill Kirk, and Errol Kirk and four sisters, Sheila (Lloyd) Milam, Donna (Gary) Burnett, Ellen Kirk and Deborah Dicus.

Jeffery was preceded in death by: his father, Gilbert ‘Gib’ Kirk.

Funeral services to honor the life of Jeffery will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Meng Family Funeral Homes, Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton. He will be laid to rest at Walker Cemetery in Jasonville.

Family and friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
