Jeffrey S. Ball

Jeffrey S. Ball, 61, of Linton, Indiana, passed away unexpectantly on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at his residence. He was born on June 14, 1962 in Linton to Lester G. and Marjorie R. (Ashcraft) Ball. Jeff married Pamela K. (Guthrie) Ball on September 21, 1999.

Jeff was a US Army Veteran. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and American Legion Post #22. Jeff worked as a carpenter for Thompson/Thrift for several years. He loved gardening and cooking.     

Family left to cherish the memory of Jeff include: his wife, Pamela Guthrie; step-children, John (Amy) McCombs of Marco, Stephanie (Brian) Robinson of Bloomfield and Philip (Dawnita) Norris, of Hymera; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three brothers, John P. (Mary) Ball of Linton, Gary R. (Sheri) Ball of Sandborn and L. David (Diana) Ball of Martinsville; two sisters, Leslie Hembree of Linton and Jean Ellis of Bloomfield.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Donna Plew and infant brother, Kevin Ball; brothers-in-law, Troy Ellis and Keith Hembree; nephews, Joshua Ball and Jeremy Plew.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Pastor David Ball and Pastor John Riker officiating. Jeff will be laid to rest in Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Lyons. Military rites will be presented by American Legion Post #22.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
