Larry N. Eaton

Larry N. Eaton, 79, of Sandborn, passed away with family by his side, on Friday, May 12, 2023, at his residence. He was born on August 11, 1943, in Bowling Green, Kentucky to Amos Crittendon and Winnie Belle (Lamb) Eaton. Larry married the love of his life, Mollie Hellen (Philpott) on August 30, 1963.

Larry had worked for the State of Indiana as a supervisor of road maintenance with 33 years of service and before retirement as Medicab driver for 13 years. He mostly enjoyed his grandchildren, fishing, hunting and tinkering in the garage. Larry was a member and Past Master of Switz City Masonic Lodge #676 F & AM, Strip Pit Bassers, Buck Creek Muzzle loaders.

Family left to cherish the memory of Larry include his wife of nearly 60 years Hellen, their children, Greg (Chantel) Eaton and Dana Lynn Schurz both of Linton; four grandchildren, Dani (Michael) Oakley, Blake Eaton, Beau Eaton, Kruz Schurz and former grand daughter-in-law Shelby Lyn Eaton, whom Larry loved dearly. His great-grandchildren, Lucas, Jacob, MaKenna, Brody, Colbie, Banx, Octavia, and Sutton. His sister, Bette Epstein of Dallas, TX.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services to honor the life of Larry will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Chaplain Jeff Fulk, officiating.  Larry will be laid to rest in Stafford Cemetery in Sandborn, Indiana.

Friends may call from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 17th at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to S.A.F.E. Animal Rescue.
