Laura Capshaw Obituary

Laura Carolyn (Polston) Capshaw, 76, of Linton, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving people, on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at Glenburn Home at Linton. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on September 7, 1943 to Robert and Goldie Lee (Edelen) Scott. Carolyn married her loving husband, Lonnie Ray Capshaw on June 10, 1961.

Carolyn attended Linton First Christian Church. She was a Nurses Aid, retiring in 2017 with 40 years of service. Carolyn enjoyed sewing, crafting and playing Bingo.

Family left to cherish the memory of Carolyn include: two sons, Robert Capshaw and Lonnie R. (Jennifer) Capshaw, Jr., both of Louisville, KY; two daughters, Debbie (Eddie) Bondurant of Linton and Wendy (Jim) Kelly of SC; four grandchildren, Laurie (William) Wagner, Christopher Knight, Brittany (Jason) Craft and Samantha Kelly; six great-grandchildren, Olyvia Wagner, Mylee Wagner, Bryson Craft, Madison Knight, Elaina Knight and Kimberly Craft and one sister, Ruth (Polston) Colston.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lonnie Ray Capshaw and one brother.

Honoring Carolyn’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or service. Carolyn will be laid to rest, beside her husband, in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Fort Knox, Kentucky at a later date.
