Lynn A. (Smith) Moore Obituary

Lynn A. Moore, 62, of Westphalia, Indiana, passed from this life, on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at her home. She was born on February 12, 1963 in Westphalia to William Joseph ‘Joe’ and Carolyn A. (Pepmeier) Smith. Lynn married James L. Moore on September 12, 2001.


Lynn was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ. She worked as a bartender at Bicknell VFW, Elks club and also the US Postal Service as a rural carrier. Lynn enjoyed sewing, crocheting and reading.


Family left to cherish the memories of Lynn include: her husband, Jim Moore and sister, Andrea (Frank) Spendal of Montezuma; nieces and nephews, Katie Moore, Nicholas (Dr. Sabrina) Spendal, Megan Smith and William (Bethany) Smith; great nieces, Maddison Moore and Lucy Spendal.


Lynn was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Joseph ‘Jody’ Smith.


Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Bryan Taylor officiating. Lynn will be laid to rest in Salem Cemetery in Westphalia.


Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
