Mary Lee Brumfield, 99, of Terre Haute, IN and formerly of Linton, IN, passed from this life, on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Cobblestone Crossing in Terre Haute. She was born on October 26, 1924, in Terre Haute to James K. Crooke and Grace Edith (Temple). Mary Lee married James J. Brumfield, on June 7, 1947, and this union was blessed with two sons, Jimmy and Jerry.

Mary Lee was a member of the First United Methodist Church.  Club memberships include Psi Iota Xi Sorority (50 yr. member), the Elite Club, and the Home Economics Club. She enjoyed watching IU basketball, Wimbledon tennis, and especially indulging in chocolate.

Those who will cherish memories of Mary Lee include: two sons, Jimmy (Deidra) Brumfield of Switz City and Jerry Brumfield of Terre Haute; two grandchildren, Erek Wilson and Emma Lee Brumfield; special niece, Dolly Kay (Robert) Campbell, as well as several additional nieces and nephews.

Mary Lee was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James J. Brumfield; two sisters and a brother.  

A Graveside Service to honor Mary Lee’s life will be at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Roselawn Cemetery in Terre Haute with Danny Hillenburg officiating.
