Polly F. (Wilson) Richardson

Polly F. Richardson, 99, of Linton, Indiana, passed away with family by her side, on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at her home. She was born on February 21, 1922 in Linton to George A. and Leona (Lechien) Wilson. Polly married the love of her life, Ray W. Richardson, on January 1, 1938.

Polly was employed at the General Electric Linton Plant for many years and owned Polly’s Beauty Shop for 36 years, retiring in 1996. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and most of all, Polly loved spending time with her family.

Family left to cherish the memory of Polly include: two daughters, Carol (Dick) White and Alice (Bill) Burress, both of Linton; eleven grandchildren, Tammy Ward, Lynn Russell, Rich White, Chrissy Pancheri, Greg Burress, Angela Lewellyn, Melissa Reed, Kathy Tilley, Becky Glick, Keith Burress and Stephen Burress; twenty-six great-grandchildren and thirty-five great-great-grandchildren.

Polly was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Ray Richardson; daughter, Sharel Burress; son-in-law, Jim Burress and one foster brother, Bill Cook.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Danny Tilley officiating. Polly will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
