Richard White

H. Richard White, 95, of Linton, Indiana, went to Heaven, Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at his home. He was born in Washington, Indiana on September 15, 1926 to Charles E. and Laura M. (Raney) White. Richard married Rosalie (Blaker) White on July 6, 1951.

Richard was a US Army, World War II Veteran. He was a member of the Linton First Baptist Church, Linton Masonic Lodge #560 F & AM, Linton BPO Elks #866, Linton VFW Post #7118 and the American Legion Post #22. Richard was also a member of the Linton-Stockton High School Class of 2020, he was drafted by the Army in high school and was honored to finally receive his diploma after 77 years. Richard worked at the Linton Daily Citizen in various capacities for 42 years and then worked at Crane.

Family left to cherish the memory of Richard include: one son, Randall R. White of Florida; grandchildren, Kara (Paul) Moyes and Kasi Sanders; great-grandchildren, Cameron Sanders, Calvin Sanders and Madeline Sanders.

Richard was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Rosalie White; son, Rick; sister, Susie Davis; three brothers, Charles H., Ralph W. and Robert E. ‘Bob’ White.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Rev. David Tyra officiating. Richard will be laid to rest next to his wife in Fairview Cemetery in Linton following military graveside honors by the American Legion Post #22.

Family and friends may call from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home. The Linton BPO Elks #866 will hold a memorial service at 10:45 AM.
