Robert F. ‘Bob’ Godman, 92, of Nashville, Indiana, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, October 29, 2016 in Nashville. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 26, 1926 to Frank Thomas and Alice A. (Minor) Godman. Robert married Barbara E. (Chamberlain) Godman on August 20, 1980.
Bob was a US Air Force World War II veteran. He retired as an Instrument Mechanic from Alcoa with 23 years of service. He was an member of the Masonic Lodge for 18 years and the Shrine Club HADI Temple in Newburgh, Indiana for 18 years (1966-1984).
Survivors include: son, Mark (Peggy) Godman of Florida; a daughter, Sheree (Gary) Seib of Evansville, IN; his step-children, Mike Page of Boonville, IN; Debbie (Terry) Frenz of West Harrison, IN and Brenda (Edward) Wojdyla of Nashville, IN; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife Barbara Godman on October 31, 2016; son, Brent Godman and sister, Dorothy Devillez.
A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 PM on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with his brother-in-law Gary Chamberlain officiating. Bob will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton following military rites by American Legion Post #22.
Family and friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 2, 2018 at the funeral home.
