Obituary

Sharon B. Berg, 83, of Avon, Indiana, passed away with family by her side, on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Villages of Avon. She was born on August 12, 1939 in Sandborn, Indiana to Vernon Stewart and Khiva T. (Keller) Bowman. Sharon married the love of her life, James Harlan Berg, on December 31, 1965.

Sharon was a Jehovah’s Witness and had worked in Business Administration, retiring from Hendricks Regional Health. The job she most enjoyed was being a homemaker and taking care of her home and family.

Family left to cherish the memory of Sharon include daughter, Rebecca (Andy) Michael of Avon; son, Stewart (Kandice) Berg of Sandborn; three grandchildren, Eric Emlinger, Collin Berg and Devon Berg; five great-grandchildren; brother, Vernon Hugh Bowman, of Avon, formerly of Sandborn.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Stewart and Khiva Bowman and her husband, James Harlan Berg.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, February 23, 2023, and will be laid to rest in Sandborn Cemetery in Sandborn, Indiana.
