Toma K. Montgomery, 76, of Unionville, Indiana, passed peacefully on Thursday, May 15, 2025, in Bloomington, Indiana. She was born July 8, 1948, in Linton, Indiana to Leon P. Carpenter and Patsy R. (Reintjes) Carpenter. Toma married her loving husband, Mike E. Montgomery, on July 3, 1991, and spent 34 wonderful years together.

Toma was a woman of faith and a member of the Baptist Church in Unionville, Indiana. She devoted 40 years to Indiana University in data entry, retiring in 2011. She found joy in tending her flower garden and watching the seasons change; Toma had a particular fondness for the fall colors.

Family left to honor Toma’s memory include her husband, Michael E. Montgomery; her stepdaughter, Diana Montgomery of Terre Haute; step-granddaughter, Taylor Montgomery; two step-great grandchildren, Emmit and Rett; and sister, Libby Dayhoff of Linton.

Toma was preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends may pay respects on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 4 to 8 PM at Anderson-Poindexter, Linton.
