William 'Bill' M. McCombs

William M. ‘Bill’ McCombs, 75, of Marco, Indiana, passed from this life, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at his home. He was born on April 14, 1948 in Georgia to Oscar E. and Yvette M. (Meunier) McCombs. Bill married Cindy (Padgett) McCombs on August 30, 1980.

Bill was a U.S. Army and Army National Guard veteran. He was a member of the Lyons United Methodist Church. He retired from Crane in 2013. Bill loved woodworking, fishing and hunting.

Family left to cherish the memory of Bill include: his wife, Cindy McCombs; son, John (Amy) McCombs of Marco; daughters, Stephanie (Brian) Robinson of Bloomfield and Heather (Tony) Lawson of Marco; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services to honor the life of Bill will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Rev. Kate Biggs officiating. Bill will be laid to rest in Marco Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help the family with expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
