Joan Marie (Hudson) Padgett

Joan Marie Padgett, 80, of Linton, Indiana, went peacefully to Heaven on Friday, September 23, 2016 in Bloomington. She was born on September 20, 1936 in Linton, Indiana, to Roy M. and Goldie (Dickey) Hudson. She became Mrs. Donnie Padgett on July 2, 1955.

Joan was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and the American Legion Post #22 Ladies Auxiliary. Joan worked in Human Resources at Foster and Galligher and then as a Payroll Clerk at Fairfield Manufacturing.

Survivors include: one son, Rick D. (Hye) Padgett of Spokane, WA; three granddaughters; two brothers, Ralston Hudson and Leroy Hudson, both of Linton.

Joan was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Donnie Padgett; sister, Geneva Deckard and brother, Rondall Hudson.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Pastor Doug Cassel officiating. Joan will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
