Priscilla "Lanie" L (Fortner) Nash

Priscilla L. “Lanie” Nash, 72, of Lyons, Indiana, went to Heaven surrounded by her family, on Sunday, December 25, 2016 in Lyons. She was born in Cayuga, Indiana on January 22, 1944, the daughter of Forrest and Celia (Snyder) Fortner. Lanie married the love of her life William “Bill” Nash on June 18, 1967.

Lanie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Linton First Christian Church, attended and was active in the Westphalia Christian Church of which her husband was a former pastor. She will be greatly missed and remembered with love by her family and friends.

Survivors include: her son, Eric (Jill) Nash of Linton; daughter, Renee (David) Jones of Lyons; grandchildren, Joshua and Haley of Lyons and Jody of Ohio; one brother, Phillip G. Fortner of Cayuga, Indiana; two sisters, Delores (Norman) Haga of Blanchard, Louisiana and Jan (Leonard) McBride of Williamsport, Indiana and several nieces and nephews.

Lanie was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Bill, sister Phillis Self; brother Larry Fortner and Sister, Linda Johnson.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Warren Shake officiating. Lanie will be laid to rest in the Sandborn Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 29th and from 11:00 AM until the hour of service at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 30th at the funeral home.  

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Lanie. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
