Richard D. Nagy, 70, of Marco, IN passed from this life on Friday, November 17, 2017, in Bloomington, IN. He was born in Wyandotte, MI on February 11, 1947, to Joseph and Dorothy (Girard) Nagy. On February 19, 1971, Richard took Patricia A. (Cook) to be his beautiful bride.
Rick joined the US Army at the tender age of 17 and served in Germany during the Vietnam War. Upon his return to civilian life after the Army, Rick worked for several years at the Rollison Logging and Kramer Land Clearing as a mechanic retiring in 2012. Rick attended the Marco United Methodist Church. Rick truly enjoyed fishing and wood working in his passed time and it gave him countless hours of enjoyment
Survivors include: his wife, Patricia, three sons, Daniel (Jenny) Nagy of Worthington; Joseph (Melissa) Nagy of Brazil; Paul (Rebecca) Nagy of Linton; 7 grandchildren, Ashley, Eric, Jakob, Austin, Tabitha, Holden and Silas; 4 great-grandchildren, Lilah, Nora, Bentley and Adalynn. A brother Henry (Becki) Lemons of Macon, GA; sisters, Shirley Moran of Washington; Rose McCormick of Warner Robins, GA and Barbara Colvin of Anchorage, AK. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Richard Daniel Nagy, Jr., three grand-daughters, Grace, Sabrina and Shayla; his brother Doug Nagy and his sister Etta Lemons.
Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 25 at Marco United Methodist Church with Rev. Rose Sparks officiating. Rick will be laid to rest in Marco Cemetery in Marco, IN following this service.
