Poops, I can't even begin to explain how much I will miss you! I was always "daddy's little girl" growing up, working along side of you in the garden, always wanting to be where "my poopsie" was. The vacation we took to Atlanta Georgia that one year is one of my favorite memories of you. We took many vacations but hands down, that one will always be extra special to me because it was just you and I. I love the fact that I inherited your "green thumb." I will continue to plant roses and a vegetable garden in memory of you. And every spring and summer when I am out in my yard planting my flowers, I know you will be right there beside me. I will always remember the Hawaiian Tropic suntan oil you always used on your cute bald head, no shirt on, shorts that were older than I, socks up past your ankles and your old garden tennis shoes. You will always be a ray of light that shines upon me. Your grandson Billy will forever miss you and those wonderful stories you always told. Rest in Peace now Poops! Love you, Lil Sis

My sympathy. I think I might be a tad bit of relation. My Mother was Juanita Trinkle Hunter I think her Mother was a Shake. The names of Olive, Clyde and Ivy ring a bell to me. Seems like she used to say "Uncle Clyde." I can remember going to Carlisle with her to visit some Shakes when I was a little girl....am 80 now. Seems like there was also two brothers that were both attorneys. Mother's Dad was Troy Trinkle, brothers were Claude and Pete, and sisters were Myrtle and Esther. I think I have a picture of Mother"s grandmother Shake. She also had a book "Shakin the Shake Family Tree." I don't have Email. My address is: 1655 Michigan St., Martinsville, In 46151. Blessings to you and yours, asking you to remember that absent from this earth is present in Heaven. Sincerely, Joan

Dad, I am so sad today to hear of your passing. You have always been very special to me for many reasons. You gave me three meaningful things that I will always hold dear. One, your love, two your son, and three my single roses...today I hand one to you in return. I love you Dad....you will be missed. Sending my Love to Mom, Eric, Julie and Rodney
